VAL - Leicester and Leicestershire Virtual Volunteering Fair 

This will be a virtual event for volunteer involving organisations to promote their volunteering opportunities and for people interested in volunteering to virtually meet organisations to find out how they can get involved as volunteers in Leicester and Leicestershire.

Leicester Tigers - Hitz

Are not taking any referrals at the moment due to lockdown restrictions but are working on offering provision soon.

 

Leicester City Street Soccer Academy

Our forthcoming Street Soccer course will restart as soon as restrictions ease, recruiting for it on a rolling basis.  We have a few video clips being put together and can be sent out to those who are interested.

 

 

Tempus Training - CSCS Courses running as usual

Construction is one area that is still flourishing in lockdown and we are able to continue to provide our 5 day courses online to help get people up and running with their CSCS cards in Leicester.

These courses are for 16+ year olds who are claiming Universal Credit (must have received first payment) or Not in Education, Employment or Training.  They will need a Laptop to complete the course.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a customer-focussed and highly organised Admin and Business Support Officer to provide consistent and flexible levels of administration and business support to the managers and the staff within Cleansing Services. This service assists caring for maintaining cleanliness of the streets throughout the city of Leicester.

As an Admin and Business Support Officer, you will provide excellent customer care to ensure services run smoothly. You will be responsible for dealing with face-to-face enquiries, answering the telephone, responding to emails and resolving queries in an effective and efficient way. On a day to day basis, you will administer and update spreadsheets and operational filing, ensuring that the information is accurate such as input hours of work, overtime/enhancements, annual leave and sickness onto the system. You will liaise with managers to resolve outstanding queries and will communicate with the Cleansing Operatives using the two-way radio. You will order supplies, process orders, raise requisitions and carry out both manual and electronic filing. On occasion you will be required to provide cover such as assisting with the management of the cleansing inbox and the DASH system.

With experience of carrying out admin tasks, you will use excellent communication skills to liaise with colleagues to provide good customer care when resolving and responding to a variety of enquiries. With your strong organisational skills, you will be able to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment; ensuring telephone enquiries are answered in an efficient manner. You will have proficient IT skills as well as the ability to use systems such as the Finance system to raise invoices and stationary orders. With accuracy and attention to detail, you will be able to record information in order to maintain up-to-date records and databases.
