Account Manager with Speedel in Leicester

Speedel have an exciting opportunity for an Account Manager at our Leicester office.

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who enjoys coordinating the activities and efforts of teams to ensure a streamlined and efficient operation.

In this role you will be building excellent working relationships with both staff and clients and be the go to person who designs and delivers an effective operation with couriers and suppliers.

Main responsibilities:

  • Allocation of work to couriers in a fair and transparent manner
  • Taking bookings via telephone and email accurately and advising clients of our services
  • Monitoring of jobs through to completion
  • Implementing and maintaining Service Level Agreements
  • Proactively keeping clients and fellow employees informed of any delays or issues.
  • Assisting with telesales during quiet periods
  • Act in accordance with Speedel’s core values of integrity, quality, customer focus and teamwork

Key skills:

  • Managing and exceeding customer expectations
  • Acting on your own initiative without constant supervision
  • Ability to communicate clearly with clients, couriers and suppliers
  • Highly organised and able to work under pressure
  • Customer service experience along with an excellent telephone manner
  • Previous transport industry experience a bonus
  • Good geographical knowledge
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and general computing
  • Be an ambassador for Speedel’s core values

Role: Full time

Salary: £25k + overtime + bonus

Shift pattern: Monday to Friday, 10:00 to 18:00
