Job Overview

Can you support our Corporate Finance partners in deal-making for some of the leading private businesses in the Midlands and beyond? This key role within the team will involve analysing financial information, undertaking company and market research, project management, and working with the team to produce business sale documentation.

Due to continued growth, we are looking to strengthen our Corporate Finance team by recruiting an initiative-taker to fill the position of Graduate Analyst within the team. The role will be office-based in our Leicester office but with a wider geographical remit on occasion.

Our Corporate Finance team advises on all aspects of corporate finance including lead advisory on both the buy and sell side, growth funding and management buyouts. Our clients range from high growth owner-managed businesses to large established companies, with a varied and fast-moving portfolio of projects unified by our aim to deliver a high standard of client satisfaction.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the Partners and wider team in delivering high quality advice and reports for a range of clients
  • Being part of a team delivering full disposal, acquisition, buyout and fund-raising engagements from start to finish
  • Supporting the team in preparing information memorandums, financial models, business plans and other business advisory projects
  • Supporting the Partners and wider team with business development activities such as researching potential clients and preparing pitch and proposal documents
  • Supporting the development of the team’s network of professional referrers through internal and external networking
  • Assisting in the ongoing development of department processes and procedures

Skills and Qualifications required

The successful candidate will:

  • Have an interest in corporate finance work
  • Have a strong aptitude for numbers and ability to analyse large volumes of financial data
  • Have strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • Be proficient at Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills and have an eye for detail
  • Demonstrate a self-starting approach to learning
  • Demonstrate a flexible attitude to work and be able, and willing, to take ownership for their work
  • Buy into the team ethic and startup nature of our office, helping with admin and ad hoc tasks alongside other members of the team
  • Be a strong collaborator and demonstrate the ability to collaborate with colleagues and clients
  • Have a degree in a related discipline with aspirations towards further study towards an accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA)
