Vista is one of the oldest and largest local charities in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland. They've been working with people with sight loss and their families for over 150 years.
If you are looking to volunteer your spare time, Vista has a variety of volunteer roles to suit your interests and help you to develop your skills.
There are opportunities based in the city as well as within Leicestershire.

Volunteering roles

Community Volunteer (Based in City and County, half a day a week)
Through this flexible role you will be based in community centres, health centres or eye clinics or travelling in our Vehicle Mobile Support Service across different locations within the city and county providing information and advice. You will talk to members of the public and be trained to carry out eye screenings for the public.
Retail Charity Shop Volunteers (Based in Syston, Wigston, Oakham, Rothley and Loughborough, half day a week)
To provide retail support in the shops helping to serve customers, sorting through stock and arranging shop display
Social Groups (Based in City or county half a day every fortnight)
To assist the group facilitator in providing friendship, support and encouragement to people living with sight loss.
Digital Vision (Based in City half a day per week)
We’re looking for volunteers to support people with sight loss by helping them find out more about technology. They will advise and train the people we support in the use of technology and equipment.
